What does this mean?
We use your total household earned income from 2022 to calculate your federal tax credits, like the Earned Income Tax Credit.
Earned income means money you made from a job. For example: W-2 income, 1099 income, tips, other wages, side hustles or self-employment income.
What doesn't count: Social Security benefits, interest earned from a savings account, unemployment compensation, SNAP benefits, etc.
